Red Sea Reefer Aquariums: ready to go!

In this article we discuss the Red Sea Aquariums known as the REEFER™ series.

Red Sea’s REEFER™ series of Reef Systems provide advanced hobbyists with a solid foundation for building a fully featured reef or marine aquarium.

This Red Sea aquarium series combines a contemporary, rimless and ultra-clear glass designed aquarium with a stylish cabinet; it has a comprehensive water management system including a professional refugium ready sump with integrated automatic top-up and Red Sea’s unique silent down-flow system. This RedSea Aquarium really is something very special.

The REEFER™ series is designed for ease of operation while enabling the advanced hobbyist to install an unlimited choice of lighting, filtration, circulation and controllers to create a uniquely customized system.

Some details on the Red Sea REEFER™ series

The REEFER™ models are 50cm (20″) wide and and are available in 60cm (24″) long/170 liter (34
gal) capacity, 90cm (36″) long/250 liter (65 gal) capacity or 120cm (47″) long/350 liter (91 gal). These tanks sit on HPL coated MDF Marine Spec cabinets.

The larger format REEFER™ XL & XXL now includes 4 sizes that give you the freedom to create more expansive, intricate and diverse reefscapes without the constraints of smaller tanks. These tanks sit on extra durable HPL coated plywood Marine Spec cabinets for greater water resistance, with fully adjustable feet for perfect leveling on any surface.

Red Sea Reefer XL and XXL

The REEFER XL models are 57.5cm (22.6″) wide and 55cm (21.6″) high and are available in 120cm (47″) long/425 liter (112 gal) capacity or 150cm (59″) long/525 liter (140 gal).

The REEFER™ XXL models are 65cm (25.6″) wide and 60cm (23.6″) high and are available in 150cm (59″) long/625 liter (166 gal) capacity or 180cm (71″) long/750 liter (200 gal).

Red Sea REEFER™ Peninsula Concept Aquarium

An adjustable height skimmer chamber, enabling you to set the water level (between 21-27cm / 8.3″-10.6″) for optimal skimmer performance.
A “Refugium Ready” sump with two pre-set positions allows you to decide how much of the sump you want for your skimmer and other reactors and how much as a dedicated refugium chamber.
2 micron filter bags and 2 filter cups
RO liter reservoir that can be slid aside when necessary for pump maintenance.
